The current Upper Leacock fire Company was started in 1988. The original fire companies for Upper Leacock Twp were Leola, Leacock, and Bareville fire. In 1988 Leola and Leacock companies came together and merged to become Upper Leacock Fire. This was the first merger of fire companies in Lancaster County. Upper Leacock Fire Company provides primary emergency support to 2/3 of Upper Leacock Twp. We are still 100% volunteer and are funded by numerous routes such as fund drives, donations, community sales, and township support.
